Held at the AGD’s scientific session on June 9 in New Orleans, L.A. Dr. Weber accepted this award along with 267 other recipients.
The Fellowship Award is presented to dentists looking to provide the highest quality of dental care by remaining current in their profession. In order to receive this award, Weber completed 500 hours of continuing dental education, passed a comprehensive written exam and fulfilled three years of continuing membership with the AGD. As a recipient of this award, Dr. Weber has joined an elite group of 16,839 members of the dental community who understand that great smiles and good oral health for their patients are the result of going above and beyond basic requirements. The Fellowship Award symbolizes excellence in the dental profession and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
“The AGD is proud to honor Dr. Weber for his commitment to continuing education and dedication to providing his patients with advanced and exceptional oral health care,” said AGD President Manuel A. Cordero, DDS, CPH, MAGD. “Dr. Weber has gone above and beyond his duties, distinguishing himself professionally amongst his peers and exemplifying his allegiance to the dental community.”
Weber graduated from Indiana University in 2013 and completed his residency at the University of North Carolina in 2014. “This achievement marks a significant milestone in my career,” Weber said in a release, “because the award demonstrates my life-long commitment to going above and beyond continuing education requirements. I do this to provide my patients with the most up-to-date treatment options and excellent care.”
The fellowship designation is one of the most rigorous dental continuing education programs today. A general dentist who is a “fellow” in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD) is recognized by other general dentists as a leader and example to other dentists in the importance of continuing quality education to patient care.
The Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) is a professional association of more than 40,000 general dentists dedicated to providing quality dental care and oral health education to the public. Founded in 1952, AGD is the largest association for general dentists in the world and serves the needs and represents the interests of general dentists.
